1. WVA and WMA Joint Press release highlighting the World Rabies Day 2018
Please find hereafter (and attached in PDF form) the WVA/WMA Joint press release marking the World Rabies Day that will take place tomorrow , 28th September worldwide with the theme; Rabies: Share the message. Save a life to highlight the importance of education and awareness to prevent rabies.
Please help the WVA to disseminate the WVA/WMA press release to your members, partners and the public in your country/region.
2. Request for volunteer Vets to spay and neuter cats and dogs in Fiji
Please find attached a request from Animals Enchanted (Charitable Organisation) for volunteer Vets to spay and neuter cats and dogs in Fiji.
Animals Enchanted will cover the costs of accommodation and meals for two weeks and will take care for all the supplies that will be bought into Fiji.
Please forward the attached letter to your members that may be interested to volunteer.
3. WHO Guidelines on the Use of Medically Important Antimicrobials in Food-Producing Animals
Dear WVA members,
Please find attached for information a response letter that was prepared by the WVA’s Working Group on Pharmaceutical Stewardship on the WHO Guidelines on the Use of Medically Important Antimicrobials in Food-Producing Animals.
The WVA would like to thank very much the members and ad-hoc members of the PS-WG for their great contributions in preparing this letter.
